X. Version History
I. Introduction
This is an unregistered copy of Consultant. The registration fee is $25.
This copy of Consultant is fully functional. The only exception is the Export function, which has been disabled. Your access to Consultant's Texture Library is also limited to five Window Textures.
This program has no expiration date, but you are required to pay a $25 registration fee if you use the program longer than 30 days. Until you register your copy, the files you create with it will expire one month after they are created. By registering your copy of Consultant, you'll be able to open and continue working with all of your files. Plus, the Export function will be enabled and you'll gain full access to Consultant's Texture Library.
On the condition that you keep the Consultant folder and ALL of its contents intact, you are free to distribute unregistered copies of Consultant to anyone you want. In fact, we encourage you to give it to friends, family, co-workers, strangers, bulletin boards, software archives, etc. You may not give a registered copy of Consultant to other people. A registered copy of Consultant can only be used by one person.

II. Registered Users
Registered users of earlier versions of Consultant do not need to pay any additional fees or reenter their registration information when updating to version 1.3. Simply follow the directions that appear when you first run the program and your registration information will automatically be transferred to this copy of Consultant.
Note: when you run this version of Consultant, you'll be asked to locate your original registered copy, so be sure that it is available. After you transfer your registration information to Consultant 1.3, you should delete your earlier version of Consultant (the application only, not the files you created with it).
III. Telephone Registration
The quickest possible method to register your software is over the telephone using any major credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). The entire process takes about 5 minutes.
1. Press the Generate Code button in Consultant's registration dialog
2. Write down the 5-character Special Code that appears
3. Call Chronos at (801) 957-1774 between 9 am - 5 pm (Mountain Standard Time)
4. A Chronos representative will provide you with a registration number right over the phone
IV. Online Registration
You may register your software online using Chronos’ Secure Order Form. Visit Chronos’ web site at www.chronosnet.com for more information. If your web browser supports secure transactions (both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer do), you can safely transmit your credit card information over the internet.
If you don’t have access to the World Wide Web, you may choose to e-mail your order form to Chronos. Cut and paste your order form into an e-mail message and send it to: sales@chronosnet.com.
V. Postal Registration
If a credit card puchase is inconvenient, you can register your copy via regular postal mail.
1. Press the Generate Code button in Consultant's registration dialog
2. Write down the 5-character Special Code that appears
3. Complete the Consultant Order Form included in this folder and mail it to the address below
4. A registration number will be sent back to you

VI. Foreign Currencies
We're happy to work with Macintosh users from other countries. There is a $3 processing fee for foreign currencies. Your payment (at the time it is received) must be at least equivalent to $28 US dollars. Remember to take in to consideration fluctuations in the exchange rate when you calculate your payment.
VII. Software License Agreement
A registered copy of Consultant can only be used by one person.
This means you can install Consultant on your home computer and on your work computer IF you are the only person using the software. However, if someone other than yourself is using the program, you must purchase additional software licenses. If you have any questions, please contact Chronos L.C.
You may not give a registered copy of Consultant to other people.
You may not reverse engineer, disassemble, reverse translate, or in any manner decode the Consultant program in order to derive any source code form.
VIII. Copyrights, Trademark Notices, Legends and Logos
The Consultant program and User Manual, logos, product, names and other support materials, if any, are either patented, copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise proprietary to Chronos L.C. You agree never to remove any such notices and product identification.
In no event will Chronos L.C. be liable to you for any damages, including any lost profits, lost savings or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use this program and user documentation. In addition, Chronos L.C. will not be liable for any claim by you or any other party for damages arising out of the use of this program.

X. Version History
The following is a list of changes that were made in Consultant 1.3:
1. The user can now change the font size of any category from the “Set” dialog. This is especially useful for printing.
2. There is now a European Address setting for printing addresses in European format.
3. The user can choose to print the Schedule Region in the Day & Multiday views with a gray background or a white background (so they can write on the printout)
4. Fixed a bug with linking activities with long titles.
5. Fixed a bug that caused a crash when closing multiple databases
6. Fixed a bug that caused the Num Weeks feature in the Month View to display the wrong number of weeks.
The following is a list of changes that were made in Consultant 1.2:
1. The reliability of Consultant's database handling has been improved dramatically. Databases that consistently crashed earlier versions of Consultant no longer cause any problems.
2. The improvements in Consultant's database handling fixed a number of other problems including incorrect sorting of contacts by Company and To-do's that couldn't be deleted.
3. The setup of the List View is now saved (columns displayed, column positions, etc.)
4. The setup of the Import & Export dialogs are now saved (which fields are selected for both activities and contacts)
5. The individual panes in the Contact Card View can now be resized so that longer fields can be completely visible
6. When the user clicks on another window or moves Consultant to the background, the Contact Card no longer gets reset (the selected contact remains in the Contact Card)
7. The user can now select default titles for the Contact Card Phone/Custom fields.
8. Added many new countries to the default setting for the Country popup list in the Contact Card
9. The RealHelp system has been simplified and improved. When disabled, the user can still see help messages by holding down the Command key while pointing at an object
10. Added a new QuickTip help system that displays tips on how to use the software at startup
11. The Registration procedure is now more intuitive and easier to use
12. Made the security system more flexible. Doesn’t force the user to enter a name and password.
13. Added "underway" and "assigned" to the types of To-do's that get automatically forwarded
14. Made the backup system more foolproof. Backups are automatically saved on a hardware or software failure. The backup file must be manually deleted by the user.
15. Changed the appearance of default buttons
16. Fixed a bug that caused a crash when closing multiple files simultaneously
17. Fixed a bug that disabled the Edit menu when the Criteria feature was used.
18. Fixed a bug that allowed users to enter passwords that exceeded the maximum length
The following is a list of changes that were made in Consultant 1.01:
1. Close Previous View Preference enabled, double-click in List View – crash.
2. Caller ID garbage characters in phone numbers.
3. Assertion error in Gantt View.
4. Double-click on a General activity in the Day view. Change it to a To-do then click back on same activity – crash.
5. Pressing Command "." when a dialog box without a Cancel key is open – crash.
6. Cannot dismiss a visual alarm when it goes off and a dialog box is already open on the screen.
7. Snooze on alarm does not work 17233 minutes appears in Alarm Box from Activity window when activity is selected after being snooze.
8. To-dos don't get forwarded when computer program is left on overnight.
9. Day View doesn't open to current day when program is launched.
10. Criteria dialog box: Click in operator field before you select a field – crash.
